Leonid Vishnyakov said that in reality, FACEIT ELO is not important for pro players, what really matters is what kind of team you have.

The esports player talked about this during his Twitch stream.

“For a good tier-2 pro it feels like the amount of Elo on FACEIT is not that important. I don’t know how it is in Dota, but in CS2 the team always decides. If you have experience, rounds you created, polished play and you run defaults, then a team is always stronger than some stack on FACEIT. In general FACEIT is not an indicator. It is just the beginning of the path. You need to grind Elo and then go to a team. Because there you will practice defaults, most of the answers on every map. On FACEIT you might be good at abusing timings. But FACEIT is not really an indicator of pro players, let’s say”

According to him, ELO only matters until a pro player finds a stable team. After that, Chopper emphasized, only the team, experience and skills are important, not the rating on FACEIT.

He also added that ELO is mainly important for beginners, and later most players simply stop caring about it.
