Sebastian “Ceb” Debs said that he and his teammates Johan “n0tail” Sundstein and Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen declined to take part in Phygital Games of the Future 2025.
The former
OG captain wrote this on his page on X (Twitter)
“After we reviewed new information that was not known at the time the decision was made, we decided to withdraw from the event. When an event for some reason becomes too politicized we prefer not to participate.
We believe we have the right to stay out of politics and focus on the passion and esport. Some reactions in recent days were hurtful, although we understand people’s concerns. Hasty conclusions and outrage on the internet can lead to harmful consequences. It is extremely important to take time to find reliable information.
That is what we tried to do, and that defined our decision. We acknowledge that some aspects could have been worked out more thoroughly. We just want to live our passion for the game. Nothing more. Take care. Seb, Johan and Topias”
Many fans were upset by the news that the three legends will not play together, since they expected a reunion of former teammates. Who will replace the team at the tournament and fight for the $175k prize pool is not yet announced.
It’s worth reminding that Topson stunned the Dota 2 community with a new achievement.
