Artem "Fng" Barshak, captain of
Virtus.pro, admitted that he took a break from Dota 2 to rest and also to focus on his health, but he continued to look for opportunities even during this time.
The esports athlete shared this during an interview with Gosugamers.
"I don't even remember what exactly I planned to do when I took a break. Mostly, I took a break to focus on my health and mental well-being. I needed to refresh myself, recharge, and so on. It wasn't like the retirements of Chinese players who say they're retiring but then come back after a month or two"
He emphasized that he needed time to rest from tournaments and finally pay attention to his health and well-being.

However, even during the break, he didn't give up the game and continued to seek opportunities for development.
"It's like I was looking for opportunities during the break, but I wasn't trying hard, just working non-stop for two months. Then I received an invitation from Virtus.pro; they wanted me to be the captain, play position five, and after discussing the details with management and the whole team, I decided that what they needed from me suited me"
In the end, the club's management not only wanted the pro player to return to Dota 2 but offered him the position of captain of
Virtus.pro. These conditions suited Fng, and he decided to return to the pro scene.
Recall that earlier another
Virtus.pro player couldn't contain his joy due to Valve's bans on smurfs, which had a positive impact on the game.
