Ilya "Kiritych" Ulyanov, the carry for Virtus.pro, is incredibly pleased with the wave of bans on smurf accounts by Valve. Now, the esports player finds it much easier to find a game in Dota 2, taking significantly less time.

The statement was made in a comment published on the RosesaGaming YouTube channel.

"I think the smurf bans are very good because when I had a high MMR, I couldn't find games normally. It took a very long time, sometimes I had to wait for 5, 10, 15 minutes. It took too long to wait. But now, during peak hours when everyone is playing after scrims, games are found very quickly, two, three, maximum five minutes. So smurf account blocking is very good"

Interestingly, Gaimin Gladiators noted the opposite trend. Pro players complained that after blocking smurf accounts, they encountered problems finding games. Sometimes searching for opponents took more than an hour, and the match never started.

Recall that Valve conducted a massive ban of Dota 2 pro player accounts that used additional accounts in the game.
