Vitaly “Save” Melnik gave a positive assessment of the changes to the draft stage, as well as the map redesign in patch 7.40 for Dota 2.

The player shared his opinion on Telegram.

"Patch 7.40 is out. I like how they changed the draft stage. In the third stage, you can't ban — you have to pick right away. I think this will change a lot.

I like that I don't have to give Tango to my core on support. I like the map changes. I'm always for map changes."

The BetBoom Team captain also noted that in the new update, the developers have greatly simplified the use of portals, but he believes that the developers will soon remove this innovation. The player did not like the fact that after destroying the third-level towers, it is now impossible to go straight to the throne. Previously, he preferred to end the game this way, but now this option is no longer available. Nevertheless, the new hero Largo aroused the interest of the esportsman.

"They changed the portals quite a lot, so that they cost 30 mana. You can enter or cancel them endlessly. I think they will remove this later. I didn't like that now you can't go straight to tier 4 after tier 3. I was a fan of going to the throne. Apparently, it's not meant to be. Maybe it's for the best. A new hero has been released — Largo. He plays good music if you press the buttons at the right time."
