BetBoom Team commented on their losing streak at The International 2024

Danil “gpk” Skutin summarized the results of the group stage of The International 2024. According to the cybersportsman, Nouns was an easy enough opponent, but in the match against Team Zero the team made a lot of mistakes, while the opponent showed a good game. In the match against Team Falcons, BetBoom Team had some good draft picks, but the lineup simply played worse than their opponents.

The lineup mid shared his opinion in an interview on the BB TEAM DOTA2 YouTube channel.

“ Nouns: Yeah not really. I think an easy opponent. Yes and on drafts was easy, and on the map somehow everything was easy. We went through them very easily.

Team Zero: We knew roughly what they were going to play. It's just... I think somewhere we played worse, and they played really well, surprised us with some heroes in the drafts.

We thought we were going to take the first game easily, but we made some very bad mistakes with our builds and movement. Well, it happens. And the second game just didn't go as well as possible, and we got demolished.

Team Falcons: I was satisfied with the choice of heroes on both maps. We could win the first and the second, but they were just stronger. Everything just didn't work out, in short. We were definitely not afraid of them, it just didn't work two fights where I was killed on the first map, I had to survive in peace. Something on the buttons didn't go right, and they played better.”

In the group stage of The International 2024, the BetBoom Team lineup was able to win their only match against Nouns, giving the win to two successive opponents. In the deciding match for a playoff position, the lineup played against Team Liquid. The match ended in a 2-1 defeat for BetBoom Team, because of which the team will start playing in the main stage from the lower grid.
