Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko stated that at the time when Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko was playing in
BetBoom Team at the carry position, the roster was close to perfect. Nevertheless, the player believes that in Dota 2 the ability to play as a team means as much as the personal skills of a player, which is why his transition from offlaner to carry has benefited the team.
The
BetBoom Team's first position player made the statement in an interview during the official YouTube broadcast of the tournament.
“I wouldn't say we consider ourselves a super team. People used to say that about us about two years ago when we played Pure. Back then, I was playing offlane, our team was really similar to the Dreamtimers. However, Dota is a team game. You need to be better not only individually, but also as a team in order to win.
Changing players changes quite a bit. Each team member has their own perspective on the game, how they see their position and how they want to perform. Changing my position didn't change our game much, but it bousted us well.”
BetBoom Team had one of their worst performances in the group stage of The International 2024, winning only one match against nouns out of the three series played. The team was defeated by
Team Falcons and
Team Zero. In the decisive match for a position in the playoff grid
BetBoom Team play against
Team Liquid.
Recall that earlier Alexander “Nix” Levin predicted two substitutions in the
BetBoom Team lineup. Egor “Nightfall” (Saika) Grigorenko was one of the players who, according to the streamer, will leave the lineup.
