Team Spirit in-house analyst Denis 'sikle' Lerman is responsible for the preparation. He assists the team in finding strategies, approaches to opponents, and discovering new tactics in Dota 2.
In an interview, sikle elaborated on his role within the team and partially described his working process:
My responsibilities include preparing for opponents, both individual matches and all teams in the tournament. I analyze the meta/patches, various interactions and peculiarities, hidden changes (for example, in November, Cheese Shield regenerated, even if a hero attacked you, but it was fixed in December — we knew about this from the beginning). I suggest new ideas for discussion on different aspects of the game, and the guys brainstorm and make decisions. I provide requested information to the coach and captain, whatever they want to know for preparation or as a basic set. I keep an eye on pubs and note anything interesting. I actively observe each member of our team and report on how successfully they perform in pubs or in scrims
