There won’t be a Battle Pass, but the Compendium 2025 will be released: possible release date revealed

It is most likely that Valve will release not the Battle Pass this year, but the Compendium 2025, as indicated by the lines of code in patch 7.39c for Dota 2.

This discovery was shared by Mark "Sikle" Lerman, an analyst for Team Spirit, in his Telegram channel.

The lines of code clearly indicate that the Compendium will be directly related to The International 2025. It is not yet known what exactly the content of the Battle Pass analogue will be, but the analyst assumes that it will not differ much from previous editions.

Valve has also not yet announced the release date of the Compendium 2025, although many expected its release along with patch 7.39d. Now analysts are inclined to believe that the most likely release date is August 21-22 - exactly two weeks before the start of TI14.

It's worth noting that this date falls on Thursday, which is the day Valve usually releases major updates to Dota 2.
