The tournament organizer PGL, responsible for organizing Dota Pro Circuit in North America, has announced that B8 is allowed to play from Europe due to travel restrictions by Ukraine.
B8 has retained its slot in the first division of Dota Pro Circuit in North America. Before the first DPC season, Danil «Dendi» Ishutin specifically moved to North America with his team to have the opportunity to play in the region. Now, B8 is forced to return to avoid violating the law of their country.
B8 roster:
- Denis «StoneBank» Korzh;
- Danil «Dendi» Ishutin;
- Glib «Funn1k» Lipatnikov;
- Nikolay «CTOMAHEH1» Kalchev;
- Oleg «Lodine» Kvasha.
Thus, five players from outside of North America will play the DPC season not on the American continent.
This has sparked a storm of discussions and dissatisfaction since PGL previously imposed sanctions on the Fart Studios team, where players were temporarily forced to stay in Europe. Brian «BSJ» Canavan and Andrew «Jenkins» Jenkins worked at DreamLeague Season 19 and then at Berlin Major 2023. Due to this, Fart Studios had to withdraw from DPC NA due to non-compliance with PGL rules. However, PGL has now decided to make exceptions to the rules.
