Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf believes that
Team Falcons have not yet reached the peak of their preparation, and that it is too early to draw conclusions based on the group stage results, despite the team’s first-place finish.
The player made this statement on Twitch.
“We’re still weak. We’ve only made it into the top 8. So far, that doesn’t mean anything—it’s not an achievement. We still need to win three series. It’s good that we took first place and advanced quickly without putting unnecessary stress on ourselves.
Valve simply decided that Mars, Timbersaw, and Razor—my three favorite heroes—would be left without their Aspects. Now you have to buy either Aghanim’s Scepter or Aghanim’s Shard, or the Aspect doesn’t exist at all. So I have to find new heroes. Luckily for me, I’ve found a few.”
According to a statement by Ammar “ATF” al-Assaf, the esports player is still glad that his team was able to advance directly to the playoffs, skipping the elimination stage. Nevertheless, the player believes that this only guarantees a spot in the top 8 and does not currently represent a significant achievement for the team. ATF also stated that the removal of certain aspects created serious problems for his gameplay, forcing him to seek out new strategies.
As a reminder, Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu previously hinted at possible roster changes for
Team Falcons while commenting on the Dota 2 players’ level of preparation.
