Filipe “Astini” Astini is pleased that his new team was able to qualify for the Esports World Cup 2026. The esports player considers this an important achievement following his return to the Dota 2 pro scene.
The
Team Nemesis coach made this statement on Telegram.
“We qualified for the EWC. I’m glad that in the first qualifier since my return to the pro scene, I managed to make it to this extremely important LAN tournament.
I almost failed the qualifier. I’m glad that ESL listened to our complaints and introduced game integrity checks. South America is just teeming with hacks. Half the teams are definitely using them. I hope Valve finds a way to solve the problem, because pretending it doesn’t exist so that no one uses hacks—that doesn’t work. Soon, the entire ranked system and all online tournaments will become unplayable.”
According to a statement by Filipe “Astini” Astini, his team was on the verge of failure due to frequent instances of cheating software being used by participants in the South American qualifiers. The
Team Nemesis coach thanked ESL for responding to the complaints and also called on Valve to resolve the situation in the region.
As a reminder, Filipe “Astini” Astini previously shared how he selected players for
Team Nemesis’s Dota 2 roster.
