Alliance is unhappy with the lifting of the ban on players from Eastern Europe

Leon "Arthur" Lee believes that lifting the ban on ten Eastern European players increases the risk of match-fixing mafias interfering in Dota 2 championships, as the lack of careful regulation creates conditions for such activities.

The head of the Alliance esports organization expressed this opinion on his personal Twitter account.

"It's understandable that everyone deserves a second chance, but this would also mean that the doors are potentially wide opened for match fixing mafias if it's not governed and monitored very very closely.

If this is true.. is it worth putting competitive integrity in danger?"

ESL management announced the lifting of the ban on ten esports players who were banned by Valve in December 2022 for playing on other people's accounts. However, ESL's lifting of the ban does not remove the block from Valve.

Recall that earlier, Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov speculated about the future of the current L1ga Team roster after their loss to 9 Pandas in the closed qualifiers of DreamLeague Season 22.
