Astini Speaks About Ending His Career on the Dota 2 Pro Scene

Filipe “Astini” Astini stated that he is considering retiring if he does not have the opportunity to join a competitive team after The International 2026.

The player made this announcement on his personal X page.

“After the ‘Games of the Future’ ended, my season is over. I didn’t qualify for The International, so I’ll focus on creating macro guides for Dotafix. I’ll post 1–2 videos on my English-language channel. I think this will help Tier 2 teams—maybe even Tier 1.

I believe I now have a perfect understanding of the meta, even after taking a break from the pro scene. We’ll see what changes after TI. I’ll come back if there’s a chance to work with strong players. If not, I’ll retire.

I’m not cut out to barely scrape by in last place at tournaments. Enough with believing in miracles at championships. At the next tournament, I’ll either make it into the top 3 or end my career.”

According to a statement by Filip “Astini” Astini, the esports player wants to win, not finish at the bottom of tournaments against weak teams. The esports player noted that he will try to deliver solid results if given the opportunity; otherwise, he will end his career.
