A bug was found in CS2 that lets you track enemies

The CS2 community discovered a serious vulnerability in the game. Players found a way to use the grenade practice camera during ranked matches and, by doing so, watch enemy movements. What’s especially concerning is that the exploit also works on FACEIT

How to reproduce the grenade camera bug in CS2

1. Open your Steam library and find CS2

2. Right-click the game and go to “Properties”

3. In the “General” tab find “Launch options”

4. Paste the following commands: +sv_cheats true mp_roundtime 60 +mp_warmuptime 999999 +mp_maxrounds 0 +sv_grenade_trajectory_prac_pipreview true +bot_kick +sv_showimpacts 1 +sv_showimpacts_time 10

It’s worth noting that using this bug is highly not recommended, since it violates the game rules, and abusing it can lead to a permanent ban on your account

The exact reason why this vulnerability appeared is still unknown. It is assumed that it could be related to the implementation of Animgraph 2. After its release, many other issues appeared in the game — weapons clipping through walls, incorrect character model behavior and other bugs. Most of them have already been fixed by Valve
