Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, AWPer of Team Vitality, stated that he was planning to step away from the CS2 professional scene for some time because of frustration with his results during the second season.

The famous esports player spoke about this in an interview with Croissant Strike.

“It was not easy for everyone to come back with new energy. I felt irritation and anger because of certain situations. It was not related to my teammates, it was more like exhaustion. Everything people told me, I took very personally. I was close to the limit and thought, ‘Why not take a break?’ But as we were getting closer to something positive, it became easier.

I think that period was difficult for everyone, even though at the beginning we were only reaching semifinals. At some point you have to tell yourself that you cannot do so much, because the brain simply cant handle it”.

According to him in the new season he and his team were not as successful as before, which really threw him off balance. ZywOo admitted that the start was not the worst, but he had set very high expectations for himself.

The pressure kept growing, and he seriously considered taking a break from his career, however in the end the results were getting better and it became easier for him. He also added that the second CS2 season was difficult for many teams, and eventually he decided to continue playing.
