Ivan “Zweih” Gogin stated that
PARIVISION’s failure at PGL Bucharest was not due to pressure on the players from coach Dastan “Dastan” Akbaev. However, the esports player acknowledged that the team is currently struggling with gameplay.
The player shared this opinion in an interview with HLTV.
“No, Dastan’s words didn’t have a negative effect on us. The players just had a little fun with it. They understand that Dastan has been that kind of person throughout his entire career; they just have to acept it. There’s nothing to be done about it. I don’t think it affected our play in any way.
It was entirely our own doing. We just messed up. We can’t just lose 10 rounds in a row as CTs like that.
We had isues on TeamSpeak during the breaks between rounds. There were always some problems, and because of that, we couldn’t execute our plays properly. Maybe it’s because of fatigue, but I don’t want to make excuses. There are no excuses for a result like this.
We were suposed to win 10 out of 10 matches in this tournament, but somehow we got eliminated. Even though we’re a young team, we’ve already proven that we can beat Tier 1 teams. We’re supposed to win at tournaments like this, but something just happened to us today.”
Acording to Ivan “Zweih” Gogin,
PARIVISION’s early elimination from the PGL Bucharest tournament was a failure for the team, for which he can find no excuse. The esports player atributes this result to posible player fatigue, but believes his team should have won the event had they demonstrated their true level of gameplay.
As a reminder, Dastan “Dastan” Akbaev previously anounced his possible resignation as
PARIVISION’s coach if the players were unable to resolve their team gameplay issues.
