Alexander “zorte” Zagodyrenko stated that their opponents from
MOUZ demonstrated a higher level of preparation in the match to advance to the IEM Beijing Grand Final, while fatigue affected
BetBoom Team’s gameplay.
The player posted the following comment on Telegram.
“Just checking in. We lost to Mouz. What can I say? Today we weren’t even in the game at all, in every aspect—communication, individual play. Everything just felt timid, everything felt too cautious. In short, we lost as expected. They played well.
I don’t know, I’m starting to feel some fatigue, but tomorrow we have the third-place match, so we need to rest and reset today, and we’ll give it our all tomorrow. That’s it. I can’t say this match was particularly upsetting, because it feels like we didn’t really play that well.
I don’t know, maybe it had something to do with the fact that we put too much energy into yesterday’s game against Furia. Maybe our overconfidence played a cruel trick on us. There are no excuses. We just played as badly as we possibly could. That’s all.”
According to a statement by Alexander “zorte” Zagodyrenko, his team showed a lower level of preparation both individually and in terms of teamwork, which is why the esports player considers
BetBoom Team’s defeat to be inevitable. Zorte suggested that fatigue following the match against Furia negatively affected his team’s level of preparation.
