Zai made an unexpected statement about Team Liquid's defeat at The International 2023

Team Liquid could have gone further in The International 2023, but they demonstrated an excellent performance in the battle against the strongest Dota 2 teams worldwide.

This statement was made by Ludwig "zai" Wåhlberg, former Team Liquid player, in a new vlog released by the club on YouTube.

"I was satisfied with the defeat at the tournament, considering how far I was able to go with my team. We performed well, we could have progressed further, but we played against good teams. We lost to two teams that made it to the grand finals, so there's nothing shameful in that"

Zai unexpectedly declared that he is completely satisfied with the results and believes that losing to Gaimin Gladiators was not disgraceful.

As a reminder, after the conclusion of TI12, Zai announced that he is not only leaving Team Liquid but is also temporarily pausing his career in Dota 2.
