Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk believes that Alexander "Rue" Filin is already a well-established pro player who doesn’t need a mentor, as he compensates lack of experience with his understanding of Dota 2.
The
Team Spirit carry shared this during an interview on YouTube
"I don’t think he needs a mentor. Personally, I don’t think experience matters that much here compared to other disciplines. The current understanding of Dota from a player’s perspective is the key point. It can change a lot after the release of a major patch. You need to understand the game right now, not two or three years ago. In that sense, Rue is a good player who doesn’t need a mentor. He already won two championships and is a tier-1 level player. Rue doesn’t need any advice. At least, not more than those he already got from us"
Yatoro noted that right now, experience in Dota 2 is not as important as intuitive understanding and the ability to adapt. The two-time world champion emphasized that the game mechanics can feel completely different after major patches, so it’s important to understand the key aspects.
The carry believes that
Team Spirit support plays great and has already showed his skill at tournaments. He also mentioned that there’s nothing left for him to learn, and probably, he already got the most important things from the team.
Previously, Rue named the angriest player in
Team Spirit — and it’s not Denis "Larl" Sigytov.
