Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk, Team Spirit carry, admitted that he felt devastated after winning The International 10 and saw no point in continuing to play Dota 2.

The two-time world champion revealed this in a new video on the club's YouTube channel.

“There was a sense of devastation when we won The International 10. Everything seemed cool, but for the first month or two I didn't know what to do next. Roughly speaking, I was adrift because I didn't see any goals for myself in life. We won Int, we made money, we took the biggest tournament, which is what everyone strives for because they jerk off to True Sight. And you win and you think, “Man, what's the next thing to do in life? Win another tournament? It's kind of uninteresting"”

Yatoro noted that he had been playing for months without motivation or clear goals. He wasn't interested in winning again, as Team Spirit had already won two of the biggest tournaments on the professional Dota 2 scene.

“I somehow regrouped, set new goals. I realized that in terms of time, one tournament is not really important. Even if you win 2-3 tournaments, it's not as important as the distance. It's the distance that determines whether you're a good player or not”

Nevertheless, the cyber athlete has managed to rethink his priorities. Now he is focused on stability and results on the distance, and not on single victories.

Earlier, Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov said that Team Spirit made a mistake by returning Yatoro to the roster and explained why.
