Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk admitted that Ame is not really his idol, even tho he respects him a lot, and right now there are no players in Dota 2 that inspire him.
He said this in an interview on YouTube channel of Maria 'Mrs. Marple' Yermolina.
“No, it changed long time ago. He is really good, he is like a symbol of stability. Ame is not that flashy type like Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi in his prime or Lasse 'MATUMBAMAN' Urpalainen. He is not that crazy in mechanics, he is more about stability and understanding the game. He reads the map very well, understands teamfights, focuses targets correctly. You can see he plays not from emotions, but from analysis of the game situation”
According to him, Ame is a very stable player who always shows results and stands out with his smart decision making and game understanding. However, Yatoro said that Ame was never really his idol, even if he respects him.
“Is he still my idol? I think no. He is just a good player that I respect. He was never a big idol for me honestly. He was just a really good player that I liked. It just happened that our paths crossed in a grand final”
Moreover, Yatoro said that right now no players really inspire him. Instead, he mentioned that he likes the mindset of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant from basketball, saying that he is inspired not by people themselves, but by their approach to the game.
