Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk thanked Valve for the Dota 2 MMR reset following the release of the new update.
The player posted the following comment on Telegram:
“Thank you, Valve.”
It’s worth noting that with the release of Patch 7.41e for Dota 2, the developers not only significantly changed the meta—a move that was positively received by many members of the pro scene—but also revised players’ MMR, capping the maximum threshold at 9,500 points. The issue of an unlimited MMR cap in Dota 2 had been discussed within the community for a long time, as it hindered the advancement of young and promising players and contributed to the proliferation of rating-boosting schemes.
As a reminder, Nuenngara “23savage” Tiramanon previously reported an issue with matchmaking following an MMR reset.
