Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk,
Team Spirit carry, trolled his fans by joking that he wouldn’t be going to The International 2024, but instead would be participating in Streamers Battle 7.
This happened during a Twitch stream.
"What do I think about Streamers Battle 7? I was thinking of playing. Telling the guys that I won't be going to TI and will be preparing for Streamers Battle. What do you think, is it a good idea?"
When asked about his thoughts on the tournament, Raddan (Yatoro) decided to joke and said he would even skip the Dota 2 World Championship for it. He also mentioned that he even told his
Team Spirit teammates about it, though of course, he had no such plans.
Nevertheless, Yatoro’s team will participate in another tournament, FISSURE Universe Episode 3, before TI13, with a prize pool of $150,000. Many fans are surprised by the club's decision, as the tournament will end only a few days before The International. However, many believe it will serve as a kind of training for the players.
Previously, Yatoro (Raddan) referred to the strongest Dota 2 player at the moment as a benchmark for other esports athletes.
