Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk, the carry player for
Team Spirit, hinted at a tense situation within the team after going inactive and emphasized that he could no longer objectively evaluate his teammates due to lingering negativity. These words were seen as a hint that the two-time world champion blames some of his teammates for their loss at TI13.
This opinion is shared by Dota 2 legend Pavel "9pasha" Khvastunov, who believes that the failure at the World Championship made Yatoro reflect on his future goals.
"Imagine this: you arrive at The International... Honestly, from what I saw at the tournament, he played more than half of the games at an 11 out of 10 level. He played incredibly well, but he and the team were simply wiped out without any real strategy. Naturally, he’s in shock. If there were any thoughts of changing teams or disbanding Spirit – now is the time"
Moreover, 9pasha noted that the conflicts within
Team Spirit might be deeper than they seem, and Yatoro, along with taking a break, might be "jumping off a sinking ship." However, the fate of the remaining teammates, except for Miroslav "Mira" Kolpakov, remains unknown.
It is also worth noting that Yatoro previously expressed his true thoughts about his teammates after going inactive.
