Representatives of the cybersports organization Y5 said that the club always observes the standards of fair play, and also reported the beginning of an investigation into the situation to prove the innocence of their players.
The corresponding statement was made on the team's Telegram.
“We have to address you in connection with the recent events and accusations made against our team in the use of third-party software (cheats) during matches.
Our team has always strictly followed the rules of fair play and adhered to high sporting standards.
We are currently conducting an investigation to confirm our innocence. And we are confident that the outcome of the investigation will remove all suspicions and prove our honesty.
Thank you each and every one of you for your support and faith in us.”
The statement was made in response to accusations from
Team Spirit manager Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, who published a suspicious snippet of the team's match at the ESL One Raleigh Open Qualifier, accusing squad players of using third-party software. Despite Korb3n's suspicions, the team lost the final match of the open stage of the qualifiers.
Recall that
Team Spirit streamer Kamil “Koma” Biktimirov was on the verge of being banned on Twitch because of harsh statements by Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov.
