After a disappointing performance at DreamLeague Season 26, Xtreme Gaming owner Yang “Yang” Yiqing admitted that he was considering giving the Esports World Cup slot to Tidebounteam. However, the organization later issued an official statement where it confirmed its intention to continue fighting on the international stage.

The corresponding appeal was published on Weibo.

In the statement, Xtreme Gaming emphasized that the team remains focused on results and is preparing for the Riyadh Masters 2025 with a full squad. The team also acknowledged the problems and promised to strengthen internal communication between players and management.

“The reasons for the failure at DreamLeague 26 were complex and we will do our best to learn from it”

The organization assured fans that it has no plans to withdraw from the season's key tournaments, and remains committed to representing China at the highest level.
