Xtreme Gaming officially announced that Wilson “Poloson” Koch will not be able to recover in time from tendovaginitis (inflammation of the tendons), so they will play at The International 2025 with Jian “xNova” Wei Yap as a substitute.
This was reported on the club’s official Weibo page.
“To take into account Poloson’s future professional career, after joint discussions with the player himself and with the permission of the PGL organizers and Valve, we are forced to use a substitute player at Ti14. We are happy to welcome Ye Jianwei (ID: xNova), who is rejoining XtremeGaming as the substitute player in the fifth position”
Xtreme Gaming noted that they have already informed PGL and Valve about the situation and received official approval for the substitution. In other words, the TI14 organizers have approved the team’s new roster for the Dota 2 world championship.
The club added that the tournament will be challenging due to these sudden changes and the preparation required, but reminded that xNova performed excellently at Clavision Masters 2025: Snow-Ruyi.
