Since The International 2026 will be held in the homeland of the
Xtreme Gaming players, the team feels a mixture of motivation and pressure.
This was stated by Lin “Xxs” Jing in an interview on Twitch.
“It creates a mixture of motivation and pressure. On the one hand, we don't need a long flight to play in the tournament. On the other hand, if we don't make it to at least the top 8 on our home turf, the audience may throw tomatoes at us.”
The player believes that the absence of a long flight before the tournament will have a positive effect on the team, but the prospect of possible failure instills a sense of increased responsibility to the fans for the result.
The player also commented on
Xtreme Gaming's result at The International 2025. According to Lin “Xxs” Dzin, the team was not initially among the main favorites of the event, which is why the players received a lot of support despite their defeat in the grand final.
“Before the tournament started, we weren't one of the favorites, so people didn't have high expectations for us. After we lost, we received a huge amount of support from everyone, so I am grateful to all of them.”
As a reminder,
Xtreme Gaming replaced a number of players in their Dota 2 roster after The International 2025.
