Zhao "XinQ" Zixing, who plays for
Azure Ray, confirmed that he, along with Lin "Xxs" Jing and Go "Xm" Hongchen, will join
Xtreme Gaming. This will result in
Azure Ray losing all EPT points.
The statement by the esports athlete was published on the CN Dota In a Nutshell Twitter page.
"As far as I know, everything will happen exactly as we planned initially. This means that Xxs, Xm, and I will leave Azure Ray and join Xtreme Gaming. Even though we haven't talked about it publicly, all parties involved are aware that this will happen after ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.
But then everyone found out about our plans, so now we feel a bit awkward. As for the EPT points earned by Azure Ray at the tournament, we will adhere to ESL rules. I don't care whether we will have to play qualifiers in the future or not"
XinQ emphasized that he realizes the impact such significant roster changes will have on
Azure Ray and his teammates Xxs and Xm. According to ESL rules, in the case of replacing three players in a team, the team loses all earned EPT points. In the case of
Azure Ray, this means losing the first place in the EPT ranking and a direct invite to DreamLeague Season 22.

This implies that both
Azure Ray and
Xtreme Gaming will have to go through regional qualifiers again, despite winning ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.
Xtreme Gaming roster:
Wang "Ame" Chunyu
Go "Xm" Hongcheng
Lin "Xxs" Jing
Zhao "XinQ" Zixing
Ding "Dy" Kong
