Matthew “Whitemon” Philmon said that one person at Valve is responsible for updates to Dota 2, which complicates work on global patches.
The
Tundra Esports player shared this opinion on YouTube.
“As far as I know, the person in charge of updates is no longer IceFrog. But there is only one person responsible for this. Perhaps that is why it is difficult to make significant changes often.”
Acording to Matthew “Whitemon” Philmon, due to the established meta, teams have to play the same drafts, which makes matches boring. The player noted that he has no specific expectations for the new patch, but the fact that it is coming out will help improve the situation.
“Because of this, it's a litle boring to play the same drafts, but what can you do? I don't have any specific expectations. We just need the patch to come out. Then everything will be fine. But if it doesn't come out, then so be it.”
As a reminder,
Tundra Esports won the BLAST Slam V grand final, defeating
Team Yandex 3-0.
