What is Dota 2 compendium
Dota 2 compendiums are much like Battle Passes but have been historically leveled by completing various in-game challenges such as hero kills and so forth. In comparison to modern Battle Passes that have more rewards at the beginning, e.g., TI5 compendium gave about two dozens of gifts just for buying it and reaching level one.
Difference Between Compendium and Battle Pass
Compendiums were introduced in Dota 2 in 2013 through “The International”’s first edition while also making an appearance during subsequent TIs such as TI4 and TI5 besides some smaller events or seasons. Eventually, this concept has led to today’s Battle Pass which was discontinued by Valve earlier this year. This year’s TI12 Compendium will see an “official” Re-introduction of it since three years ago.

Consequently, no details about what will be included in the TI12 Compendium have been given out yet by Valve itself; however dataminers have already revealed some suggestive information concerning its features resembling a Battle Pass including hero skins and others. Some interesting items such as hero skins were discovered by dataminers which implies that there may be other things too in addition to these like all-new visual novel cosmetics along with potential clues about upcoming hero.
