Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov said that he completely lost his motivation to play Dota 2 when the Gaimin Gladiators players found out that they would not be going to The International 2025.

The player spoke about this in an interview with CyberSports.

“We found out we weren't going when we played the last online tournament. I don't remember which one, but then we were told we weren't going. More precisely, the chance that we would go was very smal. And then these proceedings began. I had no motivation at all. When we found out, I didn't want to play Dota.”

According to Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov, after FISSURE Universe: Episode 6, during which the Gaimin Gladiators team learned that they would not be going to The International 2025, the player began to play Dota 2 very little, limiting himself to playing Counter-Strike.
