Watson hinted at the suspension of his career as a Dota 2 pro player

Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov wrote a controversial comment hinting at a possible suspension of the pro player's Dota 2 career, following the announcement of Cloud9's updated roster.

The pro-player wrote the corresponding post in his personal Telegram channel.

“Yes to factory jobs, no to Esports.”

However, it is unknown at this point whether it was just a joke, or whether the cyber athlete is actually planning to take a career break. It's worth noting that many pro players are now taking a break from playing Dota 2 due to stale meta. Earlier there were rumors that Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov may join the renewed lineup of Gaimin Gladiators.

Recall that Cloud9 have already registered an updated roster at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, with only two players from the previous roster remaining.
