Dota 2 fans are asking Valve to bring back Community Challenges to The International 2025, which could make the “Quarterly Oddities” event much more interesting.
A corresponding appeal appeared on Reddit.
It is noted that Community Challenges will also help attract more people to the game. Fans explain this by the fact that to reach level 100 in Quarto's Curiosities, you need to win at least 200 matches. It is emphasized that in order to receive all the rewards, you will need to play a huge amount of time from the very beginning of the event.
Players suggest replacing the number of matches with points and bringing back the Community Challenges system that worked in Compendium 2016. The essence of this system was that in order to receive rewards, you had to earn points in various ways.
The main feature was that the completion of Community Challenges tasks was counted for all players and replenished a special scale. When it was fully charged, all community members had the opportunity to play a mini-game to earn a large number of points to unlock rewards.
According to fans, this will make the event more interesting and also unite the Dota 2 community.
As a reminder, Valve previously released an important update for Dota 2, but it did not meet players' expectations.
