Valve suggested a radical rework for the top hero in Dota 2

Players are asking Valve to radically rework Tinker, the strongest hero in patch 7.37, and revert him to his original abilities.

The appeal was posted on Reddit, where it is quickly gaining popularity.

"Redditors have been complaining for years that Tinker is too strong and annoying in the game. But after his most recent changes, he has truly become an abomination, achieving the highest win rate in Dota and the highest win rate he’s ever had.

Previously, playing Tinker required a significant amount of mechanical skill and thousands of hours to master, but now anyone can pick him up and achieve immense success thanks to the brainless support build"

Post author Rakzor541 noted that after the recent changes, the hero has become completely unfamiliar to players. While previously playing Tinker required skill, now he has become the patch 7.37's broken hero with the highest win rate in Dota 2 history. Therefore, players are requesting that his previous characteristics and abilities be restored to rebalance the game and make the hero more skill-demanding.

"My suggestion: fully revert Tinker to his original state, when he didn’t have Defense Matrix, and restore the need to farm Boots of Travel. And if people on Reddit really dislike Tinker that much, he can keep his current passive so that he can't reset items.

Tinker has been a quintessential mid-laner since the days of Dota 1, a burst mage on mid, and that’s how he should stay. He has no place as a support; it simply doesn’t make sense. It also doesn’t make sense lore-wise that his rocket apparatus has completely stopped working.

However, Valve is suggesting to keep the current passive ability and restore the requirement to purchase Boots Of Travel. Players are also requesting to remove him from the support role and restore his previous roles in Dota 2 matchmaking.

Previously, Team Spirit manager stated that a broken hero had appeared in Dota 2 and needed an urgent nerf for game balance.
