Valve unexpectedly removed the Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) system from Dota 2, which was responsible for protecting the game from cheaters.
This information comes from the latest update on SteamDB.
Although the developers have not officially explained the reason for this decision, the community speculates that a new protection system, VacNet, may soon be introduced. Valve has been working on a more advanced system to combat cheaters, and it is possible it will be launched in the near future.

However, for now, the game may be left without an anti-cheat system, which could have a critical impact on Dota 2 matchmaking.
It’s worth noting that Valve recently refused to lift the permanent ban on Saeed "Sumail" Hassan, despite the Dota 2 legend's appeal.
