Insider and content maker Thour has reported an important update to the regional allocation system in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).
Under the new rules, each team will now represent only one region, and the choice of that region is no longer left up to the team itself.

Previously, teams that did not have at least three players from the same region could choose which region to represent in the VRS. However, now Valve has changed the approach: if the number of players from different regions is equal, the team will be automatically assigned to the stronger one.
This innovation should eliminate ambiguities in the distribution of points and regional affiliation, as well as increase competitive fairness between regions.
