Valve reveals new Dota 2 hero Bird Samurai at The International 2024

Valve announced a new Dota 2 hero during the grand finals of The International 2024, named Bird Samurai.

This announcement was made during the official championship broadcast on Twitch.

The developers showed a trailer for the new hero and hinted at some of his abilities.

While details about the hero's unique mechanics or abilities are not yet known, he looks truly impressive. It’s expected that he will become incredibly popular and feature prominently in the new meta of the next major Dota 2 update, much like Ringmaster did previously.

Given that Ringmaster set a record for wait time, it’s possible that Valve might also take their time with the new hero to ensure proper development and balancing before release.
