Valve responded to complaints from the Dota 2 community and began banning smurf accounts at the top of fantasy predictions so that cheaters would not receive rewards.
This was reported by streamer Dmitry “Finargot” Plusnin on his Telegram channel:
“Valve has started handing out VAC bans to smurfs and Compendium twins. The percentile remains unchanged, so it turns out that some of the prizes will simply go up in smoke because they only started banning now. Well, it's time to whine on Reddit again”
It is worth noting that even during The International 2025, users noticed that about 40% of the leaders in the rewards ranking were accounts with empty statistics. Nevertheless, the game developers did not ignore the situation and are now blocking such accounts so that the distribution of unique rewards for predictions is fair.
However, despite this, the success rate of predictions for many players is still not increasing, as Reddit users point out. Recall that the best rewards will go to the thousand players who were able to most accurately predict the results of the tournament.
Earlier it was reported that
Team Falcons will receive a cash bonus from Valve for winning The International 2025.
