Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov, manager of
Team Spirit, stated that after the team's appeal, Valve reopened the closed service for re-registration so Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk could change his nickname.
Korb3n shared this during a Twitch stream.
"He wanted to change his nickname for a long time, really a long time, Valve didn't allow him to do it because the nickname change registration on the Dota 2 website was closed. He would have changed it earlier this year. We wrote a separate letter to Valve, they responded very slowly, and now they have opened re-registration, so he immediately changed his nickname"
According to the manager, the esports player had wanted to change his nickname since the beginning of the year, but it was technically impossible. As soon as Valve provided the opportunity, the two-time world champion in Dota 2 made the change.
Earlier, Korb3n revealed the real reason why the carry suddenly decided to change his nickname from Yatoro to Raddan.
