Valve released a small update for Dota 2, fixing a number of serious bugs that appeared after patch 7.41.
One of the biggest problems was
Meepo — after the update, his clones could use active items, leading to heavy abuses. For example, players were using
Hand Of Midas on each clone, getting huge amounts of gold. Now the developers limited this mechanic: if an item was used by clones, it cannot be sold without a 50% penalty.
After the bug was discovered, the hero was temporarily disabled in ranked matchmaking to prevent abuse.
Fixes also affected
Mars — previously the hero could go underground and throw spears infinitely. This exploit was fixed, however the character model is still displayed incorrectly in some situations.
In addition, changes affected
Batrider. Developers removed the possibility to get the previously deleted talent “+10 Napalm damage” when choosing “+30 Firefly damage per second”.
Overall, the update is aimed at removing the most critical bugs and exploits, to stabilize the gameplay after the major patch.
