Valve released a small update for Dota 2 that bans picking
Meepo in matches. The hero has been temporarily removed from the active pool.
It is likely due to a significant number of bugs and balance issues that many players have complained about. There have been instances where players found ways to unfairly stack gold or items with
Meepo, disrupting the matchmaking balance.
Many users on Reddit complained to Valve about issues in matches and bug abusers playing
Meepo. One of the recent problematic bugs involved pairing
Meepo with
Naga Siren to earn 10,000 gold quickly by transferring a
Chainmail.
Although several bugs with the hero were fixed in previous updates, it seems the developers found more issues and decided to address them. Meanwhile, they banned picking Meepo to prevent balance disruptions in public matches or even tournaments.
Previously, Valve released an urgent update for Dota 2, as requested by the community.
