Valve released the Winter Quartero's Curios instead of patch 7.40

Instead of patch 7.40, Valve introduced a Winter version of the Quartero's Curios in Dota 2, this time themed around the winter holidays.

This was announced inside the game client.

Several new cosmetics have been added to the game, and players can obtain them simply by playing Dota 2 matches. However, you should hurry to collect all the rewards before the event ends. Earning everything takes quite a bit of time — especially if you don’t win every match.
