Valve now give teams 80% of the sales from the Compendium 2025

Valve, together with the release of the Compendium 2025, radically changed the rules for deductions to the prize pool of The International 2025: now teams will actually receive 80% of the sales of bundles.

The changes in accruals are indicated on the official Dota 2 website.

Now the prize pool is replenished not at the expense of the Compendium, but at the expense of the sale of team bundles. Valve increased the percentage of deductions from 25% to 30%. In addition, 50% of the revenue goes to the team participating in the tournament whose bundle was purchased.

In other words, after such radical changes, Dota 2 developers receive only 20% of all revenue associated with team sets. It is worth noting that Jonas "SabeRLighT" Volek previously spoke about a similar system when he proposed a new way to replenish the prize pool.
