Valve may release 8 more new heroes for Dota 2

The developers of Dota 2 may release 8 more new heroes after Kez, according to data found in the game files.

This discovery was explained by analyst Spectral Leamare on his Telegram channel.

While it is still unclear whether Valve actually has plans to release these heroes, the presence of their codes in Dota 2 suggests that new heroes might be on the way. The analyst also points out that the next hero after Kez could be Bard Frog, which has already received placeholders in the form of images.

Possible new heroes in Dota 2:

• Vampire

• Grendel

• Hoplite

• Peddler

• Sea Mystic

• Engineer

• Fighter Monk (possibly also referred to as Bruiser/Marci)

• Toad

• Zephyrus

• Shadow Wraith (possibly a vampire)

Although the presence of these lines in the code is not a guarantee of new hero releases, it is quite possible that the developers will continue to expand the hero pool in Dota 2. However, there have been no official announcements yet, and it is still unclear who the next hero will be.

Previously, it was revealed who might become the new hero in Dota 2 after Kez, released with Act 4 of Crownfall.
