Valve may be preparing a new Dota 2 update: when to expect the patch

The Dota 2 test servers have become active again and were updated across four versions at once, which usually indicates that a game update is being prepared and may be released as soon as next week.

“The staging server has been updated, we’re waiting for content. Logically, the Dota+ season and the new Quartero (night of December 1 to 2) are coming, and maybe something else. It’s just that the staging server usually doesn’t get updated for the regular Dota Plus season”

The dataminer notes that a new Quartero season may be starting, which roughly coincides with Dota Plus. He also emphasized that such small changes usually don’t require updating the test servers, so it’s possible that Valve is preparing a winter patch with new content.

It’s also possible that a new mode may appear in the game, featuring a battle of the Ancients where both Thrones come to life and march down the midlane to fight.
