Attentive Dota 2 fans discovered a secret message in the trailer for the new hero Kez (Bird Samurai), which Valve included as a nod to the Hand of Midas issue.

On one of the walls in the video, there is a barely noticeable inscription that reads: "Midas is a monstrosity" This was a clear reference to the ongoing problem with Hand Of Midas that had not been fixed for several weeks. The gold exploit bug had disrupted matchmaking, and even a series of fixes failed to resolve it - players kept finding new ways to exploit the issue.

The message amused fans, but many pointed out that it would have been simpler to nerf the item directly rather than include it in the trailer for the new hero Kez.

Earlier, Valve revealed the new hero Kez (Bird Samurai) and hinted at a potential release date for the character.
