Valve have reactivated Dota 2 servers that were shut down two years ago: what’s going on

Fans’t attention were caught when Valve brought back the Dubai and Indian servers they had disabled during 2023 after the gameplay update. This followed the 7.38b patch that was released to Dota 2.

These servers had been closed for some time due to technical complications. Players who relied on these servers were oftentimes forced to suffer through ridiculous ping during matchmaking.
In another surprising move, Valve included this server change without announcing it in their official patch note. These previously disabled servers are now available for use like all the other servers.
Valve made some promising changes recently when they diminished the powers of what is arguably the strongest hero in Dota with patch 7.38b.
