Valve has created a new server for Dota 2: what's happening

Having initially been published on his telegram channel, DOTA_DM opines that this addition hints at something more severe. The new server is likely to be a step towards enhancing the Dota Universe, or, creating a major shift inside the game itself.

On January 28, Valve updated the Dota 2 test server. Such changes usually happen shortly before a patch is released for the main game client. While many speculate that patch 7.38 could be released on January 29-30, testing sometimes takes longer. Valve has not commented on the situation or the developers' plans for the game's future.

It is worth noting that it was previously announced that Valve could release patch 7.38 as early as this week.
